Strike Up The Band!

Everybody wants to be a cat,
Because a cat's the only cat
Who knows where it's at;
While playin' jazz you always has a welcome mat,
'Cause everybody digs a swingin' cat.
From "The Aristocats" movie

Welcome to the all cat jazz band, because only real cool cats know how to play jazz. They may be a bit off key, as their singing consists mainly of screeching, purring, hissing, and loud wailing. And during intermission, a few furballs may be spit up. Nevertheless, you are guaranteed to have a great time! Oh, and I forget to tell you yesterday, my header is created by a grade school child.

“Hallelujah! Sing to God a brand-new song, praise him in the company of all who love him…Let them praise his name in dance; strike up the band and make great music! And why? Because God delights in his people, festoons plain folk with salvation garlands!”
Psalm 149

That band is the cat's meow! I am just imagining this group of jazz mewsicians playing before an audience. The crowd would be clapping their paws at the end of the purrformance.

Your header is great, that is a talented child.

Hi Giiny! These are great. Do you collect them?

Wow, I am impressed and happy your header was made by a child in grade school. Oh if we could only find a way to bottle our creative free spirits we are born with.

Lovely verse to start the day with. Thanks for sharing it!

Have a good one!

Real cute post! For me, it's easier to like cats when they belong to someone else... We kept our daughter's Persian cat one time while they were moving..Not sure I enjoyed the experience!!
thanks for the info about Quilling...I never knew what it was called...
