Nosey

This is a little story about a nose...MY nose to be exact. And here you see it.
Awhile back, I started having very bad nosebleeds, and began to feel afraid to be alone for fear that I might bleed to death before someone came. Not that I was GREEN with fear, but it was a concern.
So after waiting several weeks for an appointment with a specialist, today was finally the day. It was at a large teaching hospital with a very good E.N.T doctor. He told me that I had an aneurysm in my nose and would need it cauterized. BUT he let his resident do it for practice. It was NOT fun. First it felt like I had two giant noses, then many noses, all with a lit charcoal briquet in them. Afterwards Phil told me that the doctor who did it was CROSS EYED!!! He could have told me sooner! So this is why I will be taking a day or two off from blogging, until I feel more normal. See you soon!

Always hold your head up, but be careful to keep your nose at a friendly level. ~ Max L. Forman

“If you walk around with your nose in the air, you’re going to end up flat on your face. But if you’re content to be simply yourself, you will become more than yourself.”

The Little Foxes

We were driving down the highway a few days ago, and look what we saw. A little fox! Well, actually there was a pair of them, but they were so far apart that I could only snap one. They were far away, and very watchful. I think we may even have been watching each other.

“Then you must protect me from the foxes, foxes on the prowl, foxes who would like nothing better than to get into our flowering garden.”

School Buses

Chase down your passion like it's the last bus of the night. ~Terri Guillemets

Lots of people want to ride with you in the limo, but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down.

School is in now, and the buses are everywhere. And one day were were in the car with Ella when an empty school bus passed us. Ella saw it, and with a look of horror on her face she screamed "Ginny, there are NO children on the bus!!" I told her not to worry, they had all been dropped off at home.  On the same subject, I have been wondering why there have been so many school buses on the road all summer. Then I found out the answer...Summer School! One blessing of being my age is that I do not have to go to school any more, only to pick up the girls and play with then afterward!

“I’ll be their God, they’ll be my people. They won’t go to school to learn about me, or buy a book called God in Five Easy Lessons. They’ll all get to know me firsthand, the little and the big, the small and the great. They’ll get to know me by being kindly forgiven, with the slate of their sins forever wiped clean.”

Unlit & Lit

Remember my last post of the unusual angel and homemade tree in a yard close by? Well, they both light up!!! We passed them tonight. So her...
