Signs Of Fall

"The foliage has been losing its freshness through the month of August, and here and there a yellow leaf shows itself like the first gray hair amidst the locks of a beauty who has seen one season too many."  ~Oliver Wendell Holmes

Well, it looks like Fall is just about here, though it is not official yet. These are some things around town that I snapped in the last two weeks. It makes me sad to see summer end, yet fall is beautiful and I am alive to see it all. You guys are the very BEST!!! Thank you all so much for your sweet concern, prayers, and well wishes!!! It is good medicine! Good news today...I talked to the foot surgeon and he thinks I do not need any surgery, but it will be a slow and painful healing, YES! Soft tissue damage is what he says, I will be seeing him next week. Are YOU seeing signs of fall?

The signs of fall are beginning here but not so prettily as what you have shared. Thankful that you are healing.

I like this time of the year when the air gets fresh and cool but still we have some nice days here in Dublin.

glad you don't need surgery, you have had a rough time, you described the coming of Fall so well, the leaves losing their freshness, I have never heard it described that way but its exactly how they look right now, just before they turn color, they look dull,

Saw a bit of color up on the mountain but it is still so warm here. Of course, it is cooler in the mountains so their trees turn first.

Our pre-fall clues are rare at this point but we feel the change in the air. Today will reach 91 but not until later in the day. We also have some lovely breezes coming through now. This transition time may not be visually appealing yet but its a great relief.

It's still hot here but I see a few subtle changes in some of the trees. It'll pick up speed before long, I know. I love fall, but hate to see summer end, too. We've had such a nice summer this year. Well, until now that it's turned so hot and dry.

Glad to hear you don't have to have surgery on your foot! Hope the healing process goes quickly for you. Take care!
