Again

Another blizzard! The city nine miles away from us got 14 inches! It is snowing so hard and so fast that as soon as the plows clear the roads, they are covered back up again. Everything for tomorrow is cancelled. All these pictures were taken from our windows and doors.

The mailman was never able to get through, so who is this mysterious person? He was trudging miserably up the street.

A few blocks away, our son and granddaughter were out sledding! This pic was not taken by me.

Hockey was on T.V., so there was snow both inside and outside!

Simba sat looking out the door in his kitchen chair. He turned to look at me as if to say "Not again!" Yes, again!

He spreads snow like a white fleece, he scatters frost like ashes, He broadcasts hail like birdseed— who can survive his winter? Then he gives the command and it all melts; he breathes on winter—suddenly it’s spring!
Psalm 147

WOW! 14 inches. That is some snow fall. Hope you don't get as much as that. Mind you it looks lovely. By the way, Vultures are not the same bird as a Buzzard. if you Google it you will see a huge difference.

You got hit harder than we did. It was snowing all day long yesterday but I'm pretty sure we didn't get that much.
It's starting to feel like this winter weather will never end

Simba looks so sweet.. these photos are horrible to me. i have never seen snow like that and it is almost a white out. sorry your church is canceled this week to.. now i wonder what the guy with the back pack is doing. hope he is not homeless in that snow.

Beautiful snow! I thought neither rain, nor snow not dark of night (is that right?) kept the postal service from delivering the mail.

Best,
Bonnie

Oh no blizzard again! And it looks a big one! But I'm sure Anne Marie enjoyed sledding :-) One of the good things cold winter brings.
Simba is looking cute and does look like saying "not again!" Haha. I hope sun comes out soon for you!

Ginny, you are having blizzard and so much snow over there. Over here the weather is so hot and I seldom go out in the afternoon. How nice if we could have a bit of both....

Mother nature has been out of control all winter. We are due a ice storm tonight. Stay in and warm.

It's miserable....and pretty from the windows at least.

I detest snow.

How does that saying go...about the rounds of a postal carrier? Through rain and sleet and snow...."?

Stay warm and cuddle up with Simba.

That is a lot of snow and it looks so cold! Our little sleet and bit of snow didn't last too long. A lot has melted away, but it's still cold enough for me. Take care and stay warm!

So much snow everywhere... It is raining here and the weather man has predicted sleet and ice here, late tonight. Stay inside and stay warm...
Don't try the sledding thing..lol

Nice to stay cozy inside with all the cold and white outside. Thank God for my hobbies or I would go nuts with Bob still recouperating.

Wow Ginny, I guess they closed Skyline Drive again!

to be truthful, I am torn between being a bit envious but at the same time thankful we are not having this. I wanted one, good clinging snow...but if it can't be that I am ready for spring.

Stay safe and warm!

So much snow is probably not practical, but it sure is beautiful to look at.

Never really tasted snow before falling down on my head before.. only experienced playing with it once in Korea winter.. Nice, Ginny!

I can remember years of snow with 12 to 14 inches of snow but we are seriously lacking snow. We did get a snow storm but it has been warm so warm that it melts right off but we are getting some in the mountains which we need. We are in a drought while the east coast is getting plastered. Bythe way, I love your snow shots.

It snowed like that here as well. I am now officially over winter!

Love that Bible verse! I do love snow but we hardly ever get any at all. I remember once when I was a kid we got 8" which was a blizzard to us! About once every 10 years we might see just a tiny bit.
That's such a cute picture of your son and granddaughter all bundled up and having fun in the snow!

I really like your blizzard pictures. They are much prettier than the pictures we can take around here after our ice storm.

Yep, it looks and sounds like a genuine blizzard!

I really don't envy you and the blizzard.
I guess I shouldn't be whining about the fog and gray days.
Stay safe and warm.

Oh yes, I have to look up that verse too. Is it from The Message?

Oh, your kitty is so cute. :-)
We got a little bit more snow this weekend, but then it turned to sleet and rain. Mom and Dad (in Alleghany County) got 16 more inches on top of what they already had. It's been a snowy few weeks! Your granddaughter is so cute. :-)

I'm still thinking this is fun but it might not last too much longer. We got snow again today, all day. It was so pretty but they're saying more on Thursday! Yikes, so much for living in the south :). Your pics are beautiful!

What a storm! These days I just watch the weather/snow from indoors! Glad kitty has a good place to look out the window. Mildred
