A few days ago when I opened the front door, the snow looked like this. Perfectly shaped into pillows, or a beautiful comforter. This is the way it fell. And not just in our yard. There were pillows in fields, and everywhere else. How does such a thing happen?
Winter came down to our home one night
Quietly pirouetting on silvery-toed slippers of
snow,
And we, we were children once again.

“When Jacob got up early the next morning, he
took the rock that he had used for a pillow and stood it up for a place of
worship. Then he poured olive oil on the rock to dedicate it to God…”

Ginny, this does look like a soft, comfy, fluffy pillow! Perfect for a good sleep and nice dreams. :)
Hi Ginny, God used the winds to form this beautiful sculpture for you and your neighbors to enjoy! Have a tremendously nice day tomorrow!
Isn't that amazing Ginny? So beautiful!
Hi Ginny, God's beautiful nature at work. Isn't it wonderful to see this all over the places?
HI Ginny I thought it looked like n up market bed protector. Looks lovely.
Firstly, I'm catching up on your posts...that 'dish' photo...that shadow it is really cool. Almost extraterrestrial!
Now you show more extraterrestrial phenomenons....the snow pillows!! I'm lovin' it.
it does look like a soft comforter, i have never seen it like this, it was always smooth. bob says he has though. love the quote. we saw on tv yesterday that getting in ice or snow, the whole body makes you lose weight. can we have a pic of you doing snow angels and a report on how much you lose?
I've seen this too--many year's ago. Could it be the wind?
Best,
Bonnie
It looks like a bunch of giant cotton balls spread out.
Very pretty - I haven't seen snow that that in years!
Very interesting snow formations, made by the wind? I've never seen this before. You should send your pics to the local TV weather channel and ask them why the snow looks like this.
Wow, I wonder how it happened, too! I've never seen snow like that.
It actually looks like our matress :-)
Very interesting the way the snow such lovely "pillows."
It really does resemble a pillow-top mattress!...:)JP
I have seen this before some where but forget where. It is beautiful.
Cool! I don't remember seeing snow look like that before now. It does look like a mattress topper or something similar.
It looks like a mattress top...lol.
Fun to look at and sure makes for some great pictures!! Y'all stay warm and inside...
Fresh-fallen snow (as in your pictures) is absolutely beautiful. But I can do without it once it gets dirty and all tracked up.
Wow..that is interesting...what a treat for you to find and to share with us...
some of those pictures look like a mattress :) How interesting that it made such a perfect pattern.
It may look like a pillow but I would prefer a much warmer one to lay my head on
That is very interesting. It does look like a soft comforter.
That is so pretty, Ginny! I also wonder how it happened like that.
NEVER HAVE I SEEN SNOW LIKE THIS. GLAD YOU SHARED THESE GREAT SHOTS WITH US.
It does look so peaceful and nice; though my heart is ready for spring. xoxo Catherine
Sandra's cpmment made me laugh.
Snow angels to loose weight...(:0)
Ginny, The snow makes a gorgeous photo and it looks just like a pillow or mattress. We had snow/ice in GA this past week and were without power for 50 hours! Today is sunny and 50, thankfully. Mildred
