The Doors Of Easter

Around here, people really decorate for the holidays. I snapped these pictures as we were driving on Sunday.

The Easter Vampire?

The Easter Skull?

“We throw open our doors to God and discover at the same moment that he has already thrown open his door to us. We find ourselves standing where we always hoped we might stand—out in the wide open spaces of God’s grace and glory, standing tall and shouting our praise.”
Romans 5

The vampire kinda looks like he is celebrating St. Patrick's Day...and is a little chilly.

The skull is the PERFECT deterrent to door-to-door salesmen!

Beautiful decorations.Well, all but the vampire.I don't quite get the connection between vampires and Easter, but I guess each to his own.

I love the verse of today - Love Paul too - you know there is a movie out now about Paul.

The Easter Vampire and skull are a little scary. Is that last one yours with G?

These are all nice except for maybe the skull and the vampire. I know the sugar skulls are popular but I fail to see the connection to easter or even spring. I would have to look but I think it's possible that I still have the wreath from Christmas on my front door...lol

i have only seen one decoration here, it was up this morning. a cross up in a tree and below it a big droopy bush is covered in white and purple lights. 3 blocks from our house. some of these are very strange decorations for Easter. and i assume they are not for Easter but spring décor... love the ones with yellow flowers best of all.. looks like the doors are really colorful also

I like the pretty floral wreaths. I am thankful that God opens a door of hope that no man can shut.
