I believe a student did this painting. A girl with a rainbow umbrella, I love it!
It reminded me of a painting I saw hanging in Red Robin. I posted it awhile back.
I found these online, and love them. To me, they show joy.
“Can you find your way to where lightning is
launched, or to the place from which the wind blows? Who do you suppose carves
canyons for the downpours of rain,
and charts the route of thunderstorms That bring water to unvisited fields,
deserts no one ever lays eyes on, Drenching the useless wastelands so they’re
carpeted with wildflowers and grass? And who do you think is the father of rain and dew, the mother of ice and frost? You don’t
for a minute imagine these marvels of weather just happen, do you?”

Talented artist. Reminded me when I used to love walking in the rain when I was young.
Just singing in the rain...what a glorious feeling...
I love these images. Made me,a happy soul upon returning to the world of blogging.
These pictures make me want to grab and umbrella and go out puddle jumping. :)
These do look like joy to me as well. Maybe we should all play in the rain a little more!
somehow I missed the beautiful mural from red robin. I love it. my favorite is the child dancing in the rain, and the bunny is so cute... great post.. I used to play in the rain as a child but not now... and I never wore boots or used and unbrella, I play barefoot and bare headed.
Loved the umbrella photos, Ginny, last week I walked in the rain placed my umbrella on the porch to dry, the next day, dh asked if my umbrella was missing, it seems a gust of wind had blown it to the fence pasture, i was afraid it was broken but it wasn't, I would loved to of seen it flying in the air. ~smile~
Great scripture too! Have a great weekend.
Blessings,
Sue
Beautiful paintings! The bunny in raincoat is so cute :-)
It's been raining a lot here. Though I like rain, I also hope the sun will come back soon!
What is it about umbrellas...they always improve a picture.
Great post! Our study group spent a couple of years studying Job and I find myself thinking of quotes so often. Thanks for posting this quote and thanks for all of your visits to Buttercupland. We all need each other and so grateful for the friendship and support.
Oh, I have to go back to Job 38 and read it again in The Message...awesome verses for these delightful pictures.
I love the Joy and imagination of each one.

Right now I would love to put up an umbrella and go for a walk in the rain. Guess I will have to wait for a little longer, still too cold.
I loved the photo of the girl with the p ink umbrella - dancing in the rain - just a feel good photo!
A very talented young artist and the other paintings are very nice, colorful! I love rainy day art.
I love the passage from Job. What translation are you using that makes it pop right into the moment?
