Antsy

I found these ant bowls and plates in a gift shop. Really? Who would want to eat off a plate that looks like ants are in your food? Unbelievable!

Artist Chris Trueman makes pictures from dead ants. This is a portrait of his brother as a little boy. He used 200,000 ants to make it, and it costs $35,000.

When I was a little girl, someone gave me a piece of their Nestle Crunch bar. They asked me how I like it, and I said it was good. Then they told me that it was really chocolate covered ants.

Ants on my plate would kind of creep me out. Who would even think to create a picture using dead ants. I'm blown away by how much it costs.
I love your GIF signature. That is so cute

I would not enjoy eating on that dish, but I can see where kids would. Yikes, I can't not believe the ant picture. Oh my gosh that candy bar story. So funny. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

Yay for the GIF Mania! Not only would I not eat on those plates I would not buy them because buying paper plates in a gift shop cost way too much money you can get them a whole lot cheaper and I work just as well at Walmart. Cheap to the Bone that's me I also would not get her up that many ants and make art out of them but I do have to agree with Annie that it took genius to create a picture out of ants but my question is why and who would want it I sure wouldn't want it on my wall. But I'm sure there's somebody that will or did! That was cruel of them to tease you about that but I can tell you that when I was maybe 8 or 10 years old I went to a friend's house and there were three or four of us little girls and they had 10 cans of all kinds of chocolate covered bugs they had chocolate covered ants chocolate-covered grasshoppers crickets and I can't remember what all they had but they wanted me to try and because they all ate them all the time I wouldn't even look at them much less put one in my mouth

Why in heavens name would someone use dead ants to paint?!? I have little appreciation for art anyway and that just takes the cake! I think those picnic dishes are quirky!

That was cruel to tell you that about the candy bar.
The ants in the picture - I wonder if they will decompose or something?

This reminds me of the time I put plastic ants all over the counter and when my mom woke up she tried to whack them all with a shoe. I should get those plates for her now. Ha ha! I was a teenager.

LOL!!!!

I don't care if they are good citizens!

I don't want to eat them!

Our son in law tells the story of visiting his grandparents... Grandma made Berry Pie and put it "somewhere" to cool.

Ants found it and were all over it. Being a berry pie, she couldn't see them, but he could. He was made to eat it. He could never forget that awful experience.

Brrrrr...... LOL

Cute plates but actually unappealing to eat from, I think.

I would have a very hard time eating off a plate that looked like it had ants on it.

Oh my gosh these are adorable. I wouldn't want to eat from a plate covered in ants, but they'd be fun for tricking friends :D

The picture is cute, but who would come up with such an idea, to use dead ants? Kind of creepy, and no, I would not like to eat off those dishes. But different strokes for different folks.

I just can't even imagine making a picture out of ants, but what an awesome job this artist did. Don't you know it was so very time consuming. Have a great DAY.
