Lights In The Night

This evening we passed these orbs in front of a local house. On a closer look, they are covered in butterflies!

Then I noticed how many houses had lights all over! I know this was a thing during the worst of covid, but don't know why all these lights are on during the deepest winter. I like it, though!

And these are all within only about three or four blocks!

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

John 8:12

Oh that light with the butterflies is really pretty. I like that.
There are a couple houses around here who have lights on. One changed to all red after Christmas. I'm assuming for Valentines day.

Pretty. But, a monthly expense this senior would not appreciate from the utility company. πŸ™‚

I love lights. I have tea lights all over my house to remember Jesus is the light for sure.
Now the ones who haven't taken down Christmas yet I am not so sure of.
Sandra must be hurting pretty bad.

Those are so cool, I want one! Yea, our neighbor had their blue lights up all through January, and they were really pretty at night. I think people are keeping them up longer after Christmas. That is a cool photo with all the lights in the window at night. I've always loved this verse too.

**Yes Ginny, you should join the Wordless Wednesday. You would be perfect for it, cause you're always sharing interesting and wonderful photos. You don't have to do it every week, just when you have a fun photo to share. : )

With the cost of electricity going up and up, here in California, I don't think I would be doing that type of decorating.
It does make for a delightful neighborhood though.

The butterflies are my favorite but I like the others also. I always think it looks so pretty when people light their houses.

It is pretty in your neighborhood Ginny. :-)
We have solar lights that give us a twinkle in our backyard.

I keep lights up year round and electric candles in all the front windows.
I noticed I have lots of strands of green lights and I am going to use them in my landscaping this spring.
Your blog is also a LIGHT for me!!

I don't know either but I am obsessed with lights -- both inside and out. I decorate my railing (there's a lot of it) with fairy lights for every season. Getting ready to switch out red for green, tomorrow! I love those butterfly orbs! I need a few of those. xoxo
