Pierced

Our granddaughter Jazz just turned ten. And one of her birthday gifts from us was taking her to get her ears pierced. She has been wanting this for years! Here she is right before, with Phil sitting close.

And during, she never even changed expressions!! Not even one flinch.

She was so happy afterward! This lady is not me, it is the piercing lady.

Then we went to Dunkin for drinks and donuts.

And then home to open her other gifts. It was a fun day!

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.

What a sweetheart! She is braver than me. I could never bring myself to get my ears done. She made a darling choice too. I have several clip on earrings that I like but there are many more choices in pierced ones. Way to go Jazz! Sounds like a fun outing.

I love the earrings she got. Very pretty. I like that they do both ears at the same time.
Happy Birthday to Jazz.

I have never seen two ears at one time, I assume that is because some people might not get the other one done after the first. she looks so excited and happy and I agree, the studs are so cute. the woman looks a tad unhappy with having her photo taken and might be kin to Beau HA HA

I remember getting my ears pierced when I was in the 8th grade.
My daughter Debbi was only 3 and she didn't flinch either. It happens so fast it doesn't have time to hurt.
Such pretty little earrings.
Happy Birthday to Jazz.

I like her earrings. So she never even flinched one little bit? Tough gal.

I was about 10 or so when my aunt pierced my ears, the old fashion way. With some ice and a needle.

About 15 years ago, I had to go and get one ear redone - it had closed up since I had stopped wearing earrings. I was surprised after all those years it closed. The other ear was fine. It was like a shot - I didn't feel a thing. Trust me, I like the modern way much better. When I had them done the first time when the numbness from the ice wore off...OUCH!

Sounds like she had a nice Birthday celebration. Goodness 10! I was a married woman before I had my ears pierced. Not sure why I bothered, it's been years since I've worn any earrings. But her little blue ones are adorable!

Hooray and Happy Birthday to Jazz! Our Alaina had her ears pierced at 9 but then let them grow shut. I think those little earrings are so cute.

Yaaaay, Jazz got her ears pierced, how exciting! I love those turquoise studs she chose. It must have been a fun day for you, and she'll never forget this special birthday. You know, when I got my ears pierced, my mom numbed my ears with ice, and she did it on her own! I still have the pierced ears today. She did a great job.
