The Bulbs

Every year I post this yard. They are about three blocks away, and they have no grass in their front yard. Only flower bulbs! In previous years, there was a lot more color variety, with reds included. This year it is only yellow and white. Still pretty though.

House Questions:

A couple of you had questions about the little houses in my previous post. No, I did not have to put them together. And they came already painted.

It sure is pretty in the spring. I can't imagine it's too attractive after the flowers die off though.

We're in the midst of below-freezing nights which have done a number on our daffodils. Oh, well, they were pretty while they lasted.

Love the Garden quote..
I have seen some daffodils blooming around here but not much else. The flowering trees are on their last gasp and the wind and constant rain storms are not helping any for sure.

Daffodils are so pretty. So cheerful too. When I was with Princess House years ago the owner of the company Jim Northrop said he and his two young sons planted some daffodils in their yard. Unfortunately his wife divorced him but he always took his sons back to the old house to see the daffodils and they doubled and tripled and grew for many many years. I loved the stories that gentleman could tell. It helped his sons heal from the divorce. a:-)

I totally understand why some people do not have grass in their yards. I am on a big corner lot, and the water intake to keep grass growing would be much too expensive. I think that's nice that she plants flowers instead of grass, and they look lovely against her brick house.

**thanks for letting us know about the houses. Those are so cute. I especially like the fact that they were already painted. I want that turquoise and red one haha. Where did you find them?
