The Shells Of Pain

I have been going to a different pain clinic. After your procedure, the checkout desk has these shells. A staff member paints a pretty picture on each side of the shells, and pairs each one with a pretty paper that has an uplifting quote. Each patient is encouraged to take one home. I chose this one with the fall leaves on it.

These are lovely to look at. On the note of pain procedure, they often do more harms than good. The best way to reduce chronic pain is usually via regular muscle exercises through a careful and non-intensive regime.

the quote is a good one, YBH, yes, but HOW? I hear release the worry, over and over and think positive and both make me want to scream... I would if I could, that is what comes with pain and telling me to do it is a waste of time.. chronic pain is a horror, are you going because of your foot? the shell is cute.

That’s very heartwarming that they do that and they are very pretty with a good message. I took note of both MadSnapper’s and Roentare’s comments though. It is tough dealing with chronic pain. I hope your visit helped you with yours.

What a pretty shell that is and such a wonderful idea. That staff member must keep awfully busy painting all those shells for all the patients.

This is such a neat idea and what a very nice way to spread positive energy. I would never have thought to paint on the shells.

I love those shells and leaves - I still have the one Andy - grandson - made when he was little. Hope he helped your pain!

Sending a HUG ... hope you are feeling better... pain is NO fun. My dad is struggling with pain too.

I find the shells a sweet idea; as for quotes and suggestions "what to do" I find it varies a lot whether one finds them helpful or sometimes just infuriating! (lol)

That shell is beautiful. People have so much talent. And the note that goes with it is very special. That's so nice that they let you take one of these shells home at the pain clinic. This shell will be perfect for Autumn this year. That looks like a ladybug at the edge of the other shell, love that one! I hope your pain is subsiding, Ginny.

Have a blessed week.

**I think I got that cute little rabbit on my Header at Dollar General in the garden section (not this year, but a while ago). I always love browsing through the miniatures there. They have the cutest items. ; )

Oh, I saw those little glass jars with the cork tops. I want to get one for Jess cause she loves miniatures! They also had the cutest cup with Spring colors that I want to go back and get. : )
