The Wearing O' The Green

Many places around here are preparing for St. Patrick's Day. This house is at the top of our hill, and is all decked out in green.

In fact, this is the same house I posted awhile ago because I loved their bamboo windows.

Our next-door neighbors are ready for the occasion, too. They recently put out this flag.

I agree that green is the prime color of the world and the great outdoors greens are my favorite colors, but I own nothing green, my mother had green in every room, walls, furniture, dishes..

I don't think I've seen anyone around here decorated outside for St. Patrick's day. Green is a wonderful color and it's always a welcome sight when things start turning green again.

I have always loved green- all shades of it--from emerald to olive. What a fun way to see the green around the neighborhood! xo Diana

I love green - especially for St. Pat's Day. Any reason to celebrate and I'm in.

Green is my oldest daughters favorite color. She loves Green. a lot of her wardrobe is shades of green. I really don't have anything out for St. Patricks Day. shame on me! I need to pick up a strand or two of green lights. Hope your test results are good..

I like green, in nature and in decor.
I think your area decorates house more than anywhere else!

When we were young we drank green beer, thankfully those days are gone. I have a green dress for the occasion. I've not seen many decorations, but am out of town; so not sure if there are at home.

Your green post is delightful, Ginny. That welcome flag is cool, and the house on the hill's green lights are very cool. I like that quote too. It looks a bit like emerald, which is my birthstone. Green is supposed to be a soothing and calming color, the color of nature. : )

I like the color of green in nature or on St Patrick’s Day. I do like many of the colors that are blends of green, like sea green, and turquoise.

Green is Life and I really like it. Don't have a lot of it though. I'm FALL on the color spectrum.
I like that Green Welcome banner.

Green is my favorite too. We lived in Ireland for 4 years and the word green doesn't adequately describe all those shades around the country. Now we live in a desert climate in Southern California. Sigh.

Isn't that lovely? They go all out! I remember their bamboo windows. I would like to put a design on two of ours. Green is such a pretty color, I like it very much.
