Scary Tree

This tree is a few blocks away. I have never seen one like it. It apparently died and all the leaves came off the branches. Then ivy and moss grew on the trunk. Still, I think it is surrealistic and kind of like something out of a horror movie.

Another one-sided tree that is kind of similar.

That tree does look hauntingly beautiful—almost like nature’s own eerie sculpture, frozen in time and draped in mossy mystery.

Interesting looking tree. I wonder what kind it was before its leaves all fell off.

odd and unlike any I have ever seen and I like it a lot... a tree is perfect to me, dead, alive or half of both.

That IS extremely weird!! If the dead branches were cut off it wouldn't be half bad. I think if it were in my yard I'd have to cut it down. ~Andrea xoxo

That is one strange looking tree. The vines have certainly taken over.

I feel sorry for it...I guess the owners need to go in and clip the dead branches off and maybe that would allow it to grow back. I couldn't really tell if the whole tree is dead and vines have now covered the trunk, or if the tree itself is trying to come back...keep us posted.

Strange for sure. Perfect for Halloween but poor tree. Maybe the life was squeezed out by the vines taking over.

It's interesting for sure. Probably why they didn't cut it down when it died!

That is a haunting looking tree. And I love that second quote. It always makes me a little sad when the trees are cut down or have fallen from a storm. Trees are so special, with some of them being around for hundreds of years. Your neighborhood has the most fascinating sights.

It's amazing to see how this tree has evolved. Right at home on a dark, stormy night.

The Weird And the Wonderful

These photos are just from us driving around the neighborhood. We saw both lovely and also weird things. This moose head was looking at us ...
