They said the reason is to promote business downtown. But they were made & installed by T-Mobile, so I think the reason is to promote them. They have just bought our local internet companies.
Just a couple blocks away is Pinkey's Car Wash!

Just goes to show how much $$ internet companies have, doesn't it. Being the skeptic I am, I would have been much more impressed if T-Mobile made a huge contribution to the local food pantry, homeless shelter, or church....as their way of announcing their arrival in your town.
