Sunday Sunset - The Glow & The Swifts

This evening the sky had a rosy glow at the horizon as the sun set.

There was a half moon, and the Chimney Swifts were swirling around it scooping up flying insects.

“The sky blushed rose at close of day,

A quiet flame that slipped away.”

“Chimney swifts stitch the sky with invisible thread—never landing, always weaving the wind into motion.”

I like the quote about invisible stitiches, almost as beautiful as this sunset. I tend to like the darker ones best, but they are all stunning works of art by God and Ginny

Lovely photo - you taught me something - I did not know those were Chumney Swells and I did not know they were scooping up bugs.
