We had the first snow of the season yesterday. This is my view from the back door.
Now on to the sunset. It is a strange one. A straight orange line surrounded by small grey clouds.
"There’s something
quietly breathtaking about that very first snowfall. The way the world slows
down, how the air smells impossibly clean, and how even the busiest streets
seem to hush—it’s pure magic.”

Unusual sunset, indeed, Ginny, and you photos capture it perfectly. Snow does change the way the world looks from the inside out. Your comment encapsulates this beautifully. Blessings!
That is an interesting sunset. The darkish clouds look cold. Thanks for sharing your winter sunset
Ginny, your snow ❄️ picture is magical and your sunset 🌇 pictures are stunning.
The first snow is always exciting and so pretty! I like that unusual sunset too.
That first snow and that uncanny streak of sunset light looks like nature’s gentle reminder to pause and marvel
my families first viewing of snow was in 1953 and I was 9 years old, we had never seen snow or heard the hush you speak of. all 4 of us always went out side when we went to bed with no snow and woke up with the blanket of snow.. the last week Beau and I have walked in that same hush, but its fog, not snow. it blankets the tops of the trees and it is dead quiet, it mutes sound.
That is an unusual sunset but still very pretty. I like that flag in the first picture
Is that maybe more snow coming in with the sunset clouds? the snow is gorgeous and I wish you could send me some. I love snow!
Hello, dear friend! Yay for Christmas snow!!!! I know you are enjoying this festive time of year with your sweet family. And to answer your question, yes. We have water out our window...it is part of the bay that feeds into the ocean!
That is unusual! ❤️
