Sunshine On Stems

The forsythia are one of the first bushes to bloom in the summer. And this year's are beautiful. These are all quite close to us.

A last look back

A big ball of sunshine sat on the side of the road

Forsythia bloomed with happiness, it showed

Spring will be here to stay one day soon

As the flowers will dance to the bird's tune

They are pretty and sunshine on a stem is a perfect description for them. I noticed yesterday that at the very bottom of mine there are some yellow flowers but the rest just looks like bare stems. Then I noticed teeny tiny buds.

It does look like big balls of sunshine. I have always enjoyed forsythia and always look forward to it blooming in the Spring. At our other house (like 20 years ago) we had several forsythia bushes. I miss them.

They look beautiful, and I'm wondering why I haven't seen any yet in my neck of the woods. Hope I didn't already miss them.
