My Computer

My computer is breaking fast. We have to take it into the shop today. We may even have to buy a new one. So I will be without a computer for at least several days, even longer if we have to buy a new one. I hope to see you soon!! ☹

The Rest

Here are the rest of the murals we saw in Richmond. Unlike my last post, most of these seem to be a bit more thoughtful and deep.

No, there is nothing wrong with your eyes, this is how the mural actually looked! I sure wonder what it means.

A Colorful City

Richmond is a really colorful city. I was whipping my head around taking pictures as fast as I could, and I still missed some! Any white spots on the pictures are because it was raining. Rain even got on my header picture!

This makes me think of the Beatles and Kaleidoscope Eyes. Maybe that is what it means?

There were so many murals that I have to divide my post into two parts. These are the most colorful; the next post will have ones a bit more mysterious.

A Cloudy Trip

Quite a bit of our trip to Richmond today was driving through the clouds. There was fog, but it wasn't very dense. And the clouds had come down to meet the mountains.

Finally, on top of the mountain looking down in the little valley where we live.

A Perilous Trip

I will be off from blogging today (Tuesday). We have to take a friend to Richmond. This involves driving over Afton Mountain in possibly bad fog.  This is one of the very few places that have cameras and fog lights embedded into the road. But it does not do much good. On a good day, it can look like this.

In the meantime, here are some of the unusual things for sale outside the strange little second hand shop a few blocks away. I think coffee used to come in these?

The White Ravens

I saw these pictures on Facebook, and just had to show you. Especially since so many of you are birdwatchers like us. These are white Ravens. Did you know there even is such a thing?

These are on Vancouver Island, where there is a big colony of them. They are quite rare.

There is a belief that seeing a White Raven signifies the impending end of the world. Nowadays that doesn't seem so far fetched!
