This sunset was just from about three hours ago. It was what we call a buttermilk sky, but deeply orange. It was stunning to see it overhead.

We went out tonight to snap the November Full Moon.
This moon is the largest and brightest of the year.
We passed a wreck on the way home.
The full moon looked down on it all.
“The November moon
hangs heavy and bright, a lantern for long nights and a lullaby for leafless
trees.”
“Blue lights hum like
distant stars—cool, calm, and quietly electric, casting mystery on everything
they touch.”
Here are some assorted Halloween decorations that I had not posted yet. I liked all these cheerful orange lights.
The green lights seemed an odd choice.
Gigantic eyes on a house.
The plant stand lady used lights!
This cat turned his head around so he could see everything!
Pirates were a thing this year. There was a haunted pirate ship, and some cute pirates.
“Pirates don’t follow maps—they chase the wind, trust the stars, and let adventure write its own treasure.”
There were a lot of trick-or treaters on Halloween! The couple across the street sat out with their little dog, and all the costumed kids were drawn to them.
An angel came flying down the street.
Our Mariachi Band saw all of this from the window.
And then we had a witch visit.
The witch turned out to be our youngest granddaughter. The other two were out at parties.
I liked the purple boots!
Just coming through the door.
They brought their dog Vivian, who was always looking for treats!
We got a photo of Phil, me, and Jazz.
Meanwhile, back at college, our oldest granddaughter Anne Marie was off to a party. She was some kind of female Darth Vader.
And so it goes on Halloween Eve 2025.
“Halloween is the
only night when a moth in a cape, a gnome in glitter, and a duck with fangs can
walk into a party and no one bats an eye.”
We were all ready for the trick-or-treaters, and the family to come over.
I was trying to snap myself in the mirror while wearing my pumpkin shirt.
I had one little corner of the room decorated with haunted house things.
The gnomes in their glitter globe were ready.
The cat had come over to sit by the tree.
The squirrel was all settled down with a nut.
And the fall M&M's were out along with some poppers.
Soon, the excitement would begin! Stay tuned for part 2!
"The shutters creak, the floorboards sigh,
A lantern flickers as
you pass by.
The curtains dance with ghostly grace—
A haunted house wears time like lace."
The Chimney Swifts were flying down this chimney to sleep for the night.
“The first sunset of
November slips behind bare branches like a secret—soft, golden, and gone before
you know it.”
Tomorrow being the first day of Autumn, George The Big cow is ready! He is in his tractor with his farm friends all around. “The cow knew i...
