A Fun Comeback!!

It is so good to be back, and thank you all for your wonderful comments and prayers! My MRSA was in my nose only, which a lot of people have! None of the health personnel cared, and didn't even wear masks around me. I am on the way to healing from it. The diverticulitis was more serious, but I was so blessed that it is a mild case and no new abscess. I will be taking antibiotics for a month. A couple days ago I all of a sudden went almost blind in one eye! The eye doctor said that a steroid I am taking will make cataracts very advanced quickly. So I will be needing the cataract surgery at some time. Most of my friends have had it. So I will see how my sight and spelling do on blogs! To celebrate being back, I am doing something FUN! As you know, I collect purses, and I am paring down my collection to only my favorites. I have a lot to give away, and this is the first one!!! It is a Vera Bradly, and  big, as you can see with my hand on it. Throw it in the washing machine to clean. AND it is reversible!!! The color of the strap is the lining color, and you just turn it inside out for two looks in one! Let me know yes or no if you want this purse. You must be a current follower of mine. On Monday I will let you know who won! The winner must then send me her address within two days. Good luck!!!

Welcome back. So glad you are doing better. I know several people who have had the cataract surgery and they've all said it wasn't bad at all and they were amazed at how much better they could see.
Very cool purse, yes please throw my name in

Wait! Am I reading correctly that you are expecting cataract surgery to help with your spelling?? =)
Glad you have some better news than earlier!! I'd better not put my name in the pot for the purse. I need to pare down my own collection.

Have a great weekend!

Best,
Bonnie

Hi Ginny, As you may recall, I had rapidly advancing Cataracts in both eyes a year ago. I had Cataract surgery in December 2012. It was a very easy outpatient surgery that took about an hour (they use some kind of anesthesia that makes you very loopy and you don't remember the actual event of the surgery after - it is I.V. usually). Anyway, nothing bad at all. If your doctor feels it is right for you, I recommend spending extra for TORIC lenses. That is what I have now. Ask if you are interested. Great far vision but I do have to use mild over the counter readers for reading up close. Have a wonderful weekend - you are in my prayers.

Oh my goodness Ginny - I have to admit I have been worried about you - you have such a good attitude and I so enjoy feeling your happiness. I tell you girl - you need to do some relaxation or something with me!!!

I am glad you are feeling better.

I'm so glad to see you back Ginny!
Hopefully your cataract surgery will be a breeze compared to what you've been through already! My husband had it last year and did great.
Of course, I would like to be in the drawing for the bag!
Have a good weekend!

Ginny, I am so happy to see you have returned. The diverticulitis is no fun, I know, I have had it. The antibiotics, although I cannot stand them, do help to get rid of any bacteria. They tend to take away one's appetite, though, so please make sure you eat some good healthy food, even if you don't feel like it. Sending you a warm hug and much love. I will keep you in my prayers.

Ginny, you made my day when I saw you were back and doing better. I truly care about some of my blogging friends. I use a small coin type Vera Bradley, but do not have a larger one like this. Some lucky winner should be very pleased.Take care.

Glad you are doing much better. Medications can cause so many OTHER problems. Hope you can get your eye surgery soon.

Beautiful purses... (You know I don't participate in Giveaways though I hope.)

Glad you're doing so much better. I agree with an earlier comment about the Toric lens replacements. I had worn glasses since I had a nose to put them on (as my mother put it), and my "new" vision is a blessing. As much as I love Vera Bradley bags, I'll pass on this drawing and let someone who loves the color combination more enjoy it. You're really sweet to share, though!

Hi Ginny, it is so good to see you back online. You have been missed. I'm glad to hear you are beginning to heal.
The purse is so cute and I love the colors. Unfortunately I collect purses also and hubby has hinted that I might need to get rid of a few so don't include me in the giveaway.

I'm so glad to see you blogging again dear one. You've been missed and of all our concern for your health.

My BIL had cataract surgery...before tri-focals, now he has no need for eye glasses at all. Best of luck to you on this decision.

As for the purse, I need one for the beach and my collecting shells as I walk...so, if you don't mind me using it for that purpose, then count me in. If not, I understand if you don't want me in the giveaway...it's up to you on that.

As for the 'rare' hummingbird I chased around in the park that I blogged about, the photos yesterday showed NO hummingbird. The photos I did get will be up on my bird blog today.

Happy Saturday.
