Update On ME

Hi everyone! Thanks so much for your wonderful comments and prayers! They really do mean a lot to me. I went to the E.R. and was admitted for several days. I am home now on high powered antibiotics. Since this was my fourth attack of diverticulitis, the doctors are saying my colon is much more likely to perforate. They want to do surgery fairly soon. It is a serious surgery. They will cut out the bad part of my colon then reattach the ends. I go to the surgeon on Monday, then a date  will be set. Also my one eye has a bad cataract and I cannot see the computer well at all. My new glasses are a half hour away at Costco. I am hoping to be well enough to get there today, then I can start posting again!

Hi Ginny. Well I am glad you are home again. Am just thinking, should you be doing work on your computer so much with your bad eye? Sorry to hear you have to have surgery.

Hi Ginny. This sounds like the same surgery Gary had for his Crohn's. He had a resection done in 2006. I sure hope this solves a lot of your problems. I will be praying!

Ginny....so glad that you are home. Sorry to hear that you will be seeing a surgeon. My youngest brother had this same kind of surgery a few years ago, and I know that he took him a while to recover. Trusting that things will go well for you and that you will have a quick recovery...Praying for you..

Thanks for the update. It is amazing how we worry about our blog friends. I, too, have one cataract that is bad but my doctor wants to wait until I am older - I feel I am old enough. Hope you get the right treatment for your colon.

Hi Ginny, You continue in my thoughts and prayers. May God guide your doctors and may the Holy Spirit help you have peace and a comfort. Have a super pleasant day tomorrow (in spite of it all…).

Oh, you poor thing. I do hope you get a weekend of peace before you have to see the doctor again. Hope the new glasses will be helpful - just don't "overdo" things! Keep us informed if you can but don't put your ambitions so high that you exhaust yourself! ♥

This is the same surgery my hubby had to remove his cancer. You are lucky it is low enough so that you will not need to be put on a bag. You are in my prayers dear one. This surgery is serious yes but it is done so routinely now that you will be just fine. Please keep us posted on your recovery. Love, LJ
