Pulling The Wool Over Our Eyes

If I asked you to guess what these are, what would you say? Would you say they are birdhouses? Well, they ARE! They are wool birdhouses. I found a rack of them in a store and was rather dumbfounded. Apparently they are all the rage now. They are made of sheep's wool, so they are waterproof. And the birds can pull out little fibers to add to their nest. They last forever with care. And people are also putting them INSIDE their houses as decorations! Would you buy one? Which is your favorite?

“Fake Messiahs and lying preachers are going to pop up everywhere. Their impressive credentials and dazzling performances will pull the wool over the eyes of even those who ought to know better.”

Oh my gosh...these are incredible!!! I'm wondering if a bird would actually use them...and not fear the odd creatures. Interesting.

now that is really fascinating. I never would have thought that the wool would have been waterproof. Depending on the price (I know wool is quite expensive)I might buy one but no real likely. The apple or the flower are my favorites

Yes, I would buy one. I would probably pick the last pig. He's cute!

I like the "bird" birdhouse. I've seen them here in town but a lady bought the one I wanted so I didn't get one. Oh well.

Best,
Bonnie

Wool birdhouse! Never seen those before. What an unique idea and they look so pretty, too! I especially love the flower shaped bird house. It must look great both outside and inside the house!

I think I would but they sure could get messy, guess you can wash them.

Woooo--I would never have guessed bird houses... How neat!!!!

The kids gave me a new bird feeder for my birthday.. They got it at an antique store. It's a stain-glassed window bird feeder and so pretty....

Hugs,
Betsy

Wool birdhouses - I have never seen them before. I love the pig - but it really doesn't have a lot to do with birds does it?

I'd get that little pig, so cute but then they all are, and what a great idea!

The third from the bottom is my pick! I would buy one and put it on the front porch....not out directly in the weather.

I've never heard of these but they are quite fun. I really like the pig the best. Does that say something about my personality? :)

I would never have guessed they were birdhouses. Never thought about using wool for a birdhouse but it would be perfect. I like them all but if I bought one it would be the fish.

Hello Ginny....

Those are very different and colorful birdhouses!

I'd put the second one down, the pink, in my home office!

Wanted to say thanks for taking time to visit my blog today and to comment, too. Nice of you. Susan

How interesting. I've never seen anything like these. I love the fish. I have a blog friend who has sheep in WA state and she makes a lot of crafts with the wool. I will pass along your blog info to her.
