I've Got The Blues!

Here are the Christmas lights around town that are all blue. They just seem to have a different vibe from all the rest of the colored lights.

“Blue is a cold and retiring colour, and its effect upon the mind is of a quiet, soothing nature. It is symbolical of divinity, intelligence, sincerity, and tenderness.”

Wow! They are very pretty! This year I also chose "dark blue" in my Christmas tree ... Silver / blue!

Your neighborhood is so beautifully lit up already, Ginny! We don't live in a regular neighborhood but in our little area, out in the county, there's about 12 houses and only one has their lights up. I haven't driven into town at night yet, this holiday season, so I'm wondering if town is any different. People seem to be dragging their feet around here this year. I don't have any of my decorations up yet and Christmas is less than 2 weeks away. Maybe this weekend.... or maybe not at all. ~Andrea xoxo

Pretty. If feeling blue looks like this, I'm all for it!

They are all pretty. Blue is my favorite color. I think of it more as a winter color and Christmas colors are red and green in my book.

I love to see all the homes lit up! I live in an area that has a large Jewish population so I was thinking that the blue lights were for Hanukkah. They look so pretty. We have strings of white lights in the windows. I sort of miss a bit of colour though. I always love to see what you find out on your adventures.

These pictures give a new meaning to the song 'Blue Christmas'.

we don't have many houses decorated, a few here and there, but no blues like this. but the ones that are using colored lights have flag blue mixed with the colors and i can't stand flag blue in lights. i bought a set and have never used them because of the blue... actually all these make me feel blue.. the new lights in the nook, look blue at night, they are cool white which looks blue.. they will be coming down and not going back up

Interesting to see the use of different colors...

Blue is associated with Hanukkah. But these are with Christmas decorations.

A lot of people opt for red and green lights for Christmas but blue is so pretty and serene! Those are beautifully decorated houses!

The decorations are pretty, but I like warmer colors for Christmas/winter lights. I bought warm white for my new mini LEDs.

Beautiful blues, super photographs! Blue reminds me of snow and it appears we will be getting about a foot in our area on Wednesday. How about you?
