Great Horned Owl. The photo is named "Flying Saucer".
Bald Cypress Trees in Texas.

I LOVE the Cypress trees in the south!!! Anywhere! (Not just Texas)...even "the Cypress knees" are fascinating to me.
These are all amazing photos. I love the quote too. I wish they would have had a photography class when I was in high school.
They are all amazing!
agree 100 percent with that quote, and these are awesome.. in the header i thought that was some kind of mouth, like a sea turtle or something.
I really like the picture of the cypress trees. I also like the quote.
My first thoughts open seeing your Header????
A colorful King Kong!!! -giggles-
Perhaps I have King Kong on the brain, since TCM had more than one, K.K. type movies on, yesterday. LOL When I was hoping for some lovely old films, with "pretty people."

I could look at photos like this all day - teaches me about God.
I like all three!
I like them all, the owl is amazing. What a capture.
I totally agree with the quote today....what a difference kids would see if capturing the beauty around them in a photo...They might take the time to really see the things they missed in an instant glance..
Amazing photos! I agree with that quote. I love taking photos and I agree that it really makes you see the beauty around your more.
Fantastic photos and such a perfect quote, so true! I would encourage everyone to see the world through their own photos, even in their own back yard.
I especially love the quote!
Those photographers deserved the awards!
They are all brilliant Ginny. I hope you have a great week ahead
That owl picture is pretty impressive!
There is a good deal of truth in that comment. Quite often when we look at a photo we have taken, we notice details that were ignored in the effort to take the perfect shot. Occasionally, we look at a picture of a bird and realize that just off to the side was a different species that we missed completely by focussing only on our subject.
That owl, though! I think owls are fascinating and so beautiful. And I was attacked by one, once ... xoxo
