One Is The Lonliest Number

You may remember that I posted a Cormorant few weeks ago. They are very rare in our area, as they are sea birds. We are not near any sea, so I had never even seen a cormorant before. I felt kind of sad for him because he was all alone. How had he even gotten here, I wondered. This evening I saw him again.

Notice his webbed feet? He was sititng up high in a tree vibrating his yellow throat. Then, much to my surprise, I saw ANOTHER one, in the water below!!

What a surprise. So now there are two, which is always better than one.

This is the cloud that was over us.

“It’s better to have a partner than go it alone. Share the work, share the wealth. And if one falls down, the other helps, But if there’s no one to help, tough!”

Ecclesiastes 4

So true. It will be sad if he is alone. Now that there are two of them, at least they have company. The cloud never fails to amaze us. Have a wonderful day.

I'm happy he's not alone. I wonder what brought them to your area.

There is much truth and that verse. Anything is better with two and three makes it even better. Maybe those, rats got blown there by the recent hurricane

Always fun to see your birds and that cloud photo is stunning! Enjoyed the quote. It's in our nature to want someone to be happy with a mate. Not sure everyone would agree with me :)
