The Unusual

Here are some of te more unusual Christmas decorations around the neighorhood. Some make you wonder. This first one is a horn on the front of the house that they decorate for the seasons.

An ice skating pig.

A winged unicorn.

A really creepy guy decorated with tinsel and bells. Beside him is a dog skeleton wearing antlers. Perhaps they are re-using their Halloween decorations?

A snowman stuffed in a watering can.

A really cute fox.

And a peacock.

The decorations are all very interesting. Not sure about the man and the dog though. I like the fox and the peacock. There must be a musician in the house in that first one.

These are unusual decorations. I love the fox. I like most of these except the creepy guy and the skeleton dog. I mean I suppose it's creative getting more use out of your Halloween decorations but even all decked out for Christmas they still look like Halloween to me.

the fox and the peacock are my favorites and I would sit either one in my yard. the rest i would not want. especailly the recycled halloween stuff. we have two houses with those 20 foot tall skeletons and they put santa hats on them. ugggg... i think that is a hippo skating not a pig.. its cute whichever it is... i wonder if someone plays the trombone?

That looks like a mouse skating (definitely not a pig)

They are all interesting and must mean something to the people who display them.

The fox and peacock are my favorites.

Wonder what the thoughts behind the person's decoration of the man and skeleton dog were.

You certainly have an eye for the unusual. I don't care for the scary one - Maybe they spent all their money for Halloween and ran out of cash for Christmas decorations? Probably not.

Happy New Years, Ginny

Those were fun. I want that fox! - To answer your question, Yes the decorations were our yard and my daughter's yard. Her place use to be my mom's house.
Happy New Year!
