The Answer

I have the answer to what this was in yesterday's post. They were houses for beneficial insects or bees! Quite a few of you guessed!

If you live in an area large enough to keep bees that is ideal. There is upkeep to these bee or bug hotels. Around here, some neighbors have problems with predatory wasps and if you have too many, they invite non native pests which are hard to get rid of. They are cute.

I love your pictures and sayings! Fingers crossed for the bees and for us all.

We are loving our bees! Looks like we will have a good honey harvest this year and our four hives are doing great! Not ONE drop of honey last year and 19 gallons of good honey in 2021!

Beekeeping is an expensive thing to do so do not fret over the price of honey!
It's worth every cent!

I am terrified of bees, even though I know we need them. so happy there are people who give them homes and keep them going, since we NEED them for our planet. the cartoons tell a the truth and look adorable doing it.

I am surprised bees are responsible for 1 in every three bites of food!
And we would only have four years to live without them.
I knew they were important.
Wow.

I am late visiting so didn't get to see yesterday's post, but I have seen similar at our local gardens. Love your bee quotes with the illustrations. Thanks Ginny :)

I appreciate your quote ... Honey bees are responsible for 1 in every 3 bites of food we eat.

So grateful for bees and the people who help them along.
We haven't had good enough weather to allow the bees to pollenate the blossoms this year. The Almond growers are really worried they won't have good crops this year.

OMG. All those cartoons are super duper cute. I love that! Big smile on my face after reading this post.

Thank you for the nice words on my table. This is the second one I stained this way and now I think I'll never buy stain. It's just so easy to make.

Can't wait to do it again!

Oh, interesting. You know, I'm allergic to Bees! Got stung once in grade school, and swelled up right away. To this day, I stand far away from the bees. ; ) I like the quotes and pictures you shared today, Ginny.

I am a great champion of the honey bee. In fact we just had our bedtime tea. Love the honey. Someone at a blog I recently visited mentioned they started cooking with more honey and gave up regular sugar. Hmmm....I think I need more honey. Have a great weekend.
