Crepe Myrtle

I am impressed! Most of you knew the mystery plant is Crepe Myrtle! They bloomed about a month earlier here this year! Here are some pretty ones in the area.

Crepe Myrtles are revered for their ability to bring a sense of calm and tranquility to an individual’s life. The flower is believed to offer protection from harm and evil, and its presence is often associated with growth, prosperity, and well-being. As such, the crepe myrtle flower is considered a symbol of hope and positivity.

Name This Plant

I have quite a few pics of this one, which I will be posting next. And I wondered how many of you would recognize this common plant by a really close up shot. Do you know what it is?

Kid Stuff

Did you know there are Legos for adults now? They are very showy, detailed, beautiful, and expensive. Anyway, we buy the granddaughters these Legos that are not Lego brand, so they are really cheap. And I found the cutest finger pets! They have about five different kinds and this one is a Chameleon. I had to make one for myself.

You never know where you'll see him, as I put him if different places around the house. I'm tempted to buy the other kinds, they are only about $3.00.

Amazing Chameleon Facts:

There are over 200 different chameleon species in the world.

        Chameleons don’t have ears.

(Instead, they perceive sounds through vibrations in the environment.

Chameleon bones glow in the dark.

Chameleons evolved 65 million years ago

(not long after the dinosaurs went extinct

The smallest chameleon is the size of a match stick head

The largest chameleon is the size of a small domestic cat

Their tongues are 200 times the force of gravity

         Chameleons have no defenses

Sunday Sunset

…then I saw all that God has done. No one can comprehend what goes on under the sun. Despite all their efforts to search it out, no one can discover its meaning. Even if the wise claim they know, they cannot really comprehend it.

Love Never Dies

The stores already have Halloween things out now! And there are quite a few items with the theme "Love Never Dies". Sadly and spookily sweet! I have seen them in several stores now.

The Tattoo

The other day, our granddaughter Anne Marie said to me "Want to see something cool?" "Sure" I said. Then she pulled up her top and showed me her new tattoo. At first I thought it was a temporary one. But no, it is real! I think it is pretty; it is her birth month flower. She wants to get more. We shall see...

I thought this pic was funny. Phil had to put his glasses on to get a better look, so she came right up close to show him!

Moonshine

On the outskirts of town, we happened to pass this building. It used to be a gas station. But what a difference now! What was going on?

One entire side had a mural that was being painted. And the artists were right there in the process of painting it.

What was it going to be? We returned a few days later to find out. It was all done.

A big moon proclaimed "Moonshine Market"! Yikes, will this place be selling only moonshine? And is moonshine even legal here now? And if so, where is the still? Cause I would love some photos of it. Without being shot.

Sunday Sunset

Through The Fence Friday

This house is about a half hour away. They made their fence from real millstones!

Summer Coffee Corner

Not sure I like this one as much as the others, it is too crowded.

I drew this one on a mini chalkboard.

I also made this sign on a letterboard and hung it over the coffee cabinet.

Coffee is my birthstone.

Easter For Christmas

A big new trend this year seems to be decorating for Christmas with all pink. Count me in! I snapped these photos in only one store ( T.J. ...
