D G

We happened to drive past a brand new store that I had never seen. The sign said DG Market.

Of course we had to pull into the parking lot and check it out.

After getting this peek through the big double doors, I decided to go in.

It was a largish grocery store with tons of huge freezers, and about a third of it had home goods and things.

Have you guessed by now what this store is? The DG stands for Dollar General! They are building combination grocery stores with home goods! One last look as we pull out of the parking lot. My next post will be about something very shocking about Dollar General.

The new supermarket looks spacious and clean. One dollar shop does not exist anymore

They are building a DG Market not far from here. I heard it's supposed to open in a couple weeks. I was wondering what it would look like inside. Now I've ha a bit of a look.

two years ago, they added to a DG store and turned it into one of these, and now the DG that is close to me, is just like this, they remodeled the DG into one of these, but the sign still says Dollar General... more than half the store is food

Interesting. We have every kind of dollar store around....except this one. Family Dollar, Dollar General, Dollar Tree. This is a new one to me. It looks very clean!

I have never seen that store! I wonder if we will get one down here?
So, the Dollar Tree went up to $1.25 and some items are more - might be getting poor after all. lol

Wow! Haven't seen one here yet, but I'll bet it won't be long. That looks really neat!

Looks great but I'll bet the prices are higher.
Our Dollar Tree is no longer 1.00 but $1.25
Still a good choice for the money.

Very interesting, I didn't know Dollar General was now moving more into food and produce rather than home goods. Thanks for sharing!

I really like Dollar General. They have fun and festive things with the seasons and holidays. I've never heard of them being called DG before though. Are you sure it's a Dollar General? We have one up here, and it's still a Dollar General. They have a frozen section also with lots of snacks and goodies. And a BIG variety of home goods.

We have one in our town. It used to be a Dollar General and after renovations it was called The DG Market.
