Through The Fence Friday

This house is about a half hour away. They made their fence from real millstones!

You do not stumble over a mountain, but you do over a stone.

I am giggling because of the quote, you and I could/would stumble over a mountain. ha ha.. the house and fence are beautiful and I bet there is a cool story about the building of it. I wonder just how old it is..

I love the house and the fence. LOL at the quote. I seem to be stumbling over nothing these days. I'll be walking along and suddenly trip over my own two feet.

That's an amazing house! I noticed the stonework is the same as that on the wall in front. You find the neatest things to photograph Ginny, I love this place and I love your quote too. Tis having fallen over many stones and tree roots over the years :)

Quite different, but very nice. I'm guessing that many conversations have been had about this fence. Very unique and nice.

Love the house, but not so sure about the fence. To me, the millstones look like giant lifesavers.

Ginny, living in New England, we see so many stone fences, but I have never seen on that had actual millstones so this one was quite interesting. And, of course, like others who commented I was curious about the origin but it will most likely remain an unsolved mystery here.

This is absolutely fascinating. I really love the stone house and fence. Wonder if the millstones were originally whitewashed? I wish they were grayed a bit to blend in with the stone fence..but I am being a bit nit picking..I think there is a whole lot of history there. Wonder on the age and all about those millstones.
I can sure trip over invisable things.

Muy original la cerca. Me parece un buen edificio, el de la casa. Sus numerosas ventanas hacen que entre una buena luz, a su interior y que además se puedan ver muy bien los paisajes de los alrededores.
Que tengas un feliz domingo.
