Crepe Myrtle

I am impressed! Most of you knew the mystery plant is Crepe Myrtle! They bloomed about a month earlier here this year! Here are some pretty ones in the area.

Crepe Myrtles are revered for their ability to bring a sense of calm and tranquility to an individual’s life. The flower is believed to offer protection from harm and evil, and its presence is often associated with growth, prosperity, and well-being. As such, the crepe myrtle flower is considered a symbol of hope and positivity.

They are all absolutely beautiful. I don't know if anyone around here has them. I don't even know if they grow around here.

they are stunning. my uncle used to get mad when his daughter, my cousin and I used to pick them and put them in vases. we would draw a house in the dirt street with sticks, rooms and furniture and sit a bottle with a flower on the tables...

We had crepe myrtles at our VA home and we grew them from cuttings placed in the soil and watered. They were grew into tall white flowering trees.

Hope and positivity is welcome these days! My neighbor has a white one along with the red/ hot pink. They’re pretty as the bloom together.

I must get out a take a few snaps of them.

When we moved into our house, there were two crêpe, myrtles, one and the same color as this and another in the back. That one was pink. They are really big now and need trimming. I love these trees! They are everywhere in South Carolina and they just decorate the whole summer. The raspberry colored blooms are one of my favorite! xoxo

It's 4 0"Clock Somewhere

We have a lot of these Four 0"Clock bushes in the back and side of our house. They got their name because they do not open till around...
