Squirrely

Today is National Squirrel Appreciation Day! Do you have many squirrels around? We do, and they are amusing to watch. Over 200 species exist!

I once met a squirrel eating a tortilla in front of a Mexican Restaurant.

Bob Ross, host of The Joy Of Painting, rescued an orphaned squirrel and would bring it on his show sometimes. Here are some of our squirrels. They always oblige me, and seem to like to pose for my camera.

bob and I are both squirrel lovers and avid watchers of our small squirrels.. we watch them through our living room window, and sometimes they make us stop watching TV and look at them... squirrels will eat anything and everything

I don't get as many around since I don't have bird feeders out any more but I used to get quite a lot of them. Occasionally I will see on running across the power lines and jumping into trees along the way.

I didn't know there was such a day. Yes, we have lots of squirrels and they love to run up and down the top board on our fence. They really are fun to watch especially when they are chasing one another.

Are you kidding? A squirrel appreciation day - now I've seen everything. My goodness. They are cute though. Love the advice.

Ours are red squirrels, I see them now and then in the cemetery where I walk, but it's hard to get close to them - they're usually very quick to run up the big old trees if one tries to approach them...

Great photos. We have TONS of squirrels here and there are a couple of cheeky ones that come up to our sliding glass door on our patio just to drive Scruffy nuts. He will bark at them and they will stand up and chitter at him. it's hysterical. I kinda like squirrels! xo Diana

What cute squirrels you have.

I enjoy watching squirrels 🐿️ For some reason in this subdivision, I don’t see squirrels but when I walk up to the road, they’re there. We did have a couple that came down from the road and were hysterical to watch - driving our dog crazy. Then after a couple of days, they’re there left. It’s probably best because I can’t imagine having my dog bark all day at the squirrels.

I didn't know there was a special day set aside for squirrels. The ones we have at our place think our roof is their "freeway" Its constantly used to get from one neighbors house to the one on the other side. It must be mating season since I see one being pursued up and down...up and down the trees and fence.

Squirrel Appreciation Day -- who knew? Thanks Ginny for a fun post. Also thanks for your comment on my current post and sorry for the confusion, the snowman decos are outside the resident's apartments and not in the windows.

A great photo of the squirrel. We have a few around here but not many by the house. Though they are cute and fun to watch I am not a fan of them. Ken calls them tree rats. :)

They're adorable! As long as they stay outside and don't take up residence in the attic or rest of the house.

Happy Moo Year

Guess who we came across the other day? The Big cow! He is finally dressed up again. A bit late for the new year, but that's O.K. At le...
