I just snapped this sunset last week.
On the way home, we passed several houses with pretty lights, even so long after Christmas.
I loved this one because of the reflection in their window.

I've seen houses that still have their Christmas lights outside too. And some newer decorations for Valentine's Day. Fun stuff. Great capture of the sky you got. Happy Weekend and boogie boogie.
Our first year in this house when Christmas came and we put up lights one of our neighbors asked us when we planned on taking them down. She let me know that they should come down quickly after Christmas. Then a few years later we had a really cold winter with a lot of snow. We noticed that hers didn't come down until almost March, LOL Steve and I both thought that was pretty funny. Your sunset pictures are beautiful.
I think it's nice they leave the lights up until the worst of winter is over. They are spreading some cheer, and goodness knows we can use more of that!
That’s a gorgeous sunset! The lights on the houses were pretty.
Such beautiful skies in deed
What a gorgeous sunset. There are a few houses around here that still have Christmas lights on. Mine were still out until the other day although I wasn't turning them on any more.
Those are my kind of people - those that leave their lights up. I agree, it brings a little cheer to the winter grays. Have a good day.
Such a beautiful sunset! I love that quote too.
Beautiful skies.
A few people have their lights up here too. Some pink now too for Valentine's Day.
What a pretty sunset. I’m getting to where, it’s none of my business if people leave their lights on year round or not. It’s so petty. Live and Let live!
Beautiful Skies!
What a beautiful shot of the sunset! The way the light reflects in the window gives the whole scene such a warm, peaceful vibe. It's lovely how you noticed the lights lingering after Christmas—those little bits of joy can last well beyond the season. Leonard Cohen's quote is such a perfect touch; it really captures the beauty of imperfections and the light they let in. Thanks for sharing this thoughtful moment!
If it were up to me, I would leave the lights up all year long..I just love them and the reflections they give off. I especially like the picture of the lights reflecting on the window panes. Happy Sunday Ginny.
