Well, they sent me home without doing the medical procedure! Because a new rule says you cannot eat or drink before getting I.V. sedation. I had no idea, and I had a cup of coffee and a cookie before leaving! Well, they fit me in for next month.
Know what this is?
My best friend's sister went to New Zealand and brought her treasures hand carved by the Māori! This box has abalone eyes.
She also got this little totem pole. Kind of frightening. Also with abalone eyes.
“Where land
and spirit walk together. Guided by ancestors, grounded in earth.”

I'm sorry you had to reschedul your procedure! Prayers for you and Phil...
Those eyes are scary! I'm sorry you had to reschedule -- it's scary having something like that hanging over your head.
Sorry you had to reschedule your procedure. I'm surprised they didn't let you know ahead of time that you couldn't eat or drink. They told me when they scheduled my appointments.
Very cool treasures. Love the eyes.
Fasting for any procedure is so hard to do, Ginny. They really should have made that clear to you in the first place, but I'm glad you could reschedule. Blessings!
I'm sorry the procedure had to be rescheduled.
I really like that box, lovely treasures!
Sorry your procedure had to be postponed. The face on the box looks a bit creepy to me, though I like the wood.
Hi Ginny,
Sorry about the procedure.
Yes, that face does look a bit creepy. I do like the wood.

I know this was a let down for you..with the effort you made to make the drive and then to find out the procedure could not be done...so sorry Ginny. But..God always has a plan and He directs our steps. There was a reason for sure. This is a neat piece ..maybe a little scary looking, but a lot of carving went in to making this a nice piece.
First of all, it's a shame you had to postpone your procedure, I am so sorry. We build ourselves up to things and then for that to happen, oh dear! I loved the intricacy of those carvings, and to have abalone inlays, so interesting. Thanks for sharing! They remind me of the tiki carvings.
No fluids before any sedation because of potential aspiration risk
Sorry you had to cancel your procedure - I wonder why they didn't tell you this beforehand.
That Totem pole looks like a character named Woody in one of those movies the kids really like these days - forgot the name! Glad you can go next month.
