The Iris

I bought this Iris kit from Amazon. I thought it was so pretty, and our Jazz is very talented at making things. It is made from very thin sheets of wood.

You can imagine my surprise when we opened it and took a good look. Oy!

But she proceeded to build it, saying she had made things much harder. I was kind of amazed; I could never do it myself!

Amazon has a lot of different flowers like this, but I think this will be the only one I will buy.

“Irises: little flags of magic. Petals shaped like quiet wings.”

That looks like a fun thing to do with Jazz. It’s very clever but I would be saying oy too.

What a neat kit that is. That is a lot of little pieces though. I would be a bit intimidated by it. Jazz did good at putting it together.

The iris has always been a favorite bloom of mine, especially the purple ones, and this one will bloom for a long time thanks to your granddaughter.

Jazz is so gifted, Ginny! She did an excellent job of assembling all these various parts of the iris "puzzle." Blessings!

In looking at the pieces, I could sense that you would definitely need to have talent to put this together. This is very unique Ginny and so very pretty.. I really like what you did with the header photo,...

I don't think I could do that either - but Jazz is amazing!

Way to go, Jazz! That is very cool, Ginny. It is something to keep forever, and I am lovin' the purple color of the Iris. The sheets of wood are so thin - she did a great job creating this. What a perfect gift.

the artist in Jazz comes out on this one, not sure I would have the patience to do it and it would NOT look like hers
