The front of the doctor's office building had a long row of Milkweed!
Butterflies love Milkweed and lay their eggs on it.
The bees love it too.
And then I spotted a couple Great Spangled Fritillary!
“She flies like a flame that refuses to burn out.”
In order, as usual. "Sunsets, like childhood, are viewed with wonder not just because they are beautiful, but because they are fleetin...

Isn’t that great that your doctor’s office is taking care of our monarchs planting all those milkweed plants? Thank you for sharing this. Always uplifting to see how people take care of our wildlife.
What a nice treat going in to the doctors office. I never paid much attention to the plants outside my doctors office.
Outside your doctor's office? Wow! That's the last place I'd expect to find a haven for bees and butterflies, Ginny. Gorgeous photos!
Oh, that's so interesting, Ginny. The milkweed is pretty, and didn't know the butterflies love it. You got some good pictures of the butterfly, by the way. His orange wings makes it a perfect Fall photo. ; ) It's hard to get the butterfly, as they flutter about quickly. Nice photos.
Nice captures of the butterflies.
They are not easy to photograph.

the butterfly is a flame of glory. I just found out today that milkweed is toxic to ducks, while figured out how to feed them and leave them wild. it gave a list of plants that we should remove if we had wild ducks living in our yard. I did not put the seeds in water, it is in a dry container, left the seeds on the grass and they pick it off like they do when its growing. they have pretty much stripped all the grass seed in our yard but our neigbors have plenty to share. they pick up seeds, dip them in the water, and swallow, then pick up sand, put it in their water, dip down to the mud and eat the mud, they need the mud to process food through the gizzard. all birds do this
I've seen a few milkweed plants starting around town on my walks.
The Milkweed looks so healthy and so does this gorgeous butterfly. I have had more butterflies this year from what I normally have...we are enjoying them.
Great shots.
That's neat!
What a beautiful little discovery outside a doctor’s office. Milkweed brings so much life with the butterflies and bees it attracts. The Great Spangled Fritillary really does look like a tiny flame moving through the garden.
Great photos of the butterfly. Our swamp milkweed is blooming and we have so many bees visiting. YAY!!
Wonderful photos. I haven't seen any milkweed around here. We used to have a ton of it on the farm in PA. I am going to check to see if it is deer resistant. We have a herd of deer (from 15 - 20) of them that come through our backyard every day and will eat anything that is not deer resistant. Thanks for the memory jog! xo Diana
