Marshmallow Syrup
These clouds are the softest I have ever seen. To me, they look like marshmallow syrup was poured over the sky.

Joy
W drove past the most joyful house yesterday; I just had to post it! What I love is the bright yellow front door, and matching sunflower. If a house could smile, this one would have a big grin.
Strangely enough, they also had corn growing in the yard!
On the same day, I saw the first house this year that is decorated for fall. Also strangely, they seem to have some fourth Of July decor as well!

losing its freshness through the month of August, and here and there a yellow
leaf shows itself like the first gray hair amidst the locks of a beauty who has
seen one season too many....”

Of Puzzles & Swallows
Talking to our granddaughters on the phone this evening, they asked me if I could get them a jigsaw puzzle. Well, what a joy for a grandma in the time of covid! Of course! I already had several in our play room. They were meant for us all to work together, but I guess that won't be happening for awhile. So, off we went the few blocks to their house to drop the puzzles off.
They came out on the porch to wave at us, along with our son. The littliest is so cute now, with her front teeth missing!
Once back home, and feeling rather melancholy, I stood at the door and watched the swallows swooping in the air for flying insects. Till there were almost none left.
The twilight tints
have left the sky, and night commences her watch over the world, high in the
heavens is her taper lit, around which will soon glow a thousand kindred
flames.

Wood Ducks
I have wanted to see Wood Ducks for as long as I can remember. And recently, it happened! They were very far away on a small pond. This is why some of the pictures are blurry. They look like a person painted them, but God painted them.
There is one sitting up in the tangle of tree branches.
See how well their pattern blends in to hide them?

The Boxes
So many more people are ordering things online now, what with the virus. The lady next door has a delivery truck stop by every day. Every day, for months! Shall I get up the nerve to ask her what she is ordering? Hmmm, maybe those meals in a box. For the last month or so, we have passed this house a couple blocks away.
The boxes appeared about a month ago. What the...so what do you think? I think I will not knock on their door and ask. So what have YOU been ordering?

Sunday Sunset
In order
