Burning For You

Here is one of my favorite Christmas gifts. See how this candle is all lit up? Yet the wick is not burning!

This is called a candle warming lamp. There is a special bulb in it and you put a candle under the shade. The bulb melts the wax.

Since the wick is not lit, there is no ash. When you are done, the wax hardens again, making the candle last a lot longer than if the wick had been lit. And it still smells just as good. You can buy these lamps in many different styles and colors. Amazon has dozens of different kinds.

Here are the last of the world-wide fireworks. These are on the Arc De Triomphe in Paris.

Not sure where these next two are.

And finally, Big Ben in London.

Facts about the Arch Of Triumph

·         A Wooden Replica of the Arc de Triomphe Was Made for Napoleon

·         He Never Even Got to See the Finished Product

Standing Tall

Are you ready for more fireworks? This is on the tallest building in Dubai, named the Verge Califa. They set out to break several world records.

The Eye In The Sky

I got some of the most unusual and awesome Christmas gifts, and can't wait to show you. But first, I just have to do three posts of the most amazing New Year's fireworks I have ever seen! This is known as The Eye in London. It is a giant ferris wheel and is a big tourist attraction. I took all of these shots from the T.V.

Christmas 2024

Today we celebrated Christmas with our family. It was kind of fitting that we did it on New Year's Day. The girls were thrilled with their gifts!

I got each of them a puzzle jar. It is a real jar for storage that you put together with jigsaw pieces. It is very sturdy, too. Jazz made hers while she was here.

Since Anne Marie is going to U.V.A. now, we gave our son some of their college clothes, including this hat.

Anne Marie loved it, and wanted it too. I need to get her one.

She did get a new pair of Birkenstocks though.

The guys got together to learn how to work the drone I got the girls.

Some of the aftermath.

Nest, I will show you the gifts that I got!
