Beeing There

My grandfather always said that living is like licking honey off a thorn.
  ~Louis Adamic

Several of you guessed my mystery post yesterday. It is a bee store!!! Last summer we were driving along and passed it, only 10 minutes from our house. They keep  their bees out back. No, we did not buy any honey, but maybe we should. I talked Phil into posing for a couple shots, and he even wore a beekeepers hat for this one photo! The things I make him do for my blog, and he is always such a good sport about it!

“My son, eat honey, for it is good,
Yes, the honey from the comb is sweet to your taste;
Know that wisdom is thus for your soul;
If you find it, then there will be a future,
And your hope will not be cut off.”
Proverbs 24:13

Great quote, photos, and scripture. What a fun time the two of you must have as you go for your drives.

I was just thinking some days I would like to have that 'hood' or whatever you would call it that Phil is wearing...just till I could hide my hair/face!

Sometimes when you have a cough that you can quit, try a couple tablespoons of honey. It don't always help me, but I have had it help me when prescription cough syrup didn't work

Also, going to see grand daughter tomorrow...so may not get to comment for a day or two. So if I don't, will catch you when I get back.

Oh Ginny, I love your shot of Phil in the Beekeeper's hat. There is nothing better than local honey. We don't use a lot of it but I always buy a jar each summer at the farmers' market. I like it in tea.

Great to catch up on your posts! I just had some honey with cinnamon in hot milk before I went to bed last night. Maybe that's why I'm up at 2:30 a.m. It's going to be a long day! Sighhhhh

Hi Ginny. Oh Proverbs is probably my favorite book in the Bible. It holds a great deal of wisdom and all is written so lovely.

Thanks for dropping over. What a coincidence about our children. I didn't post Pam's age but she too is 42 today.

To answer your question I have been on Blogger since 2006 I think. My old blog was The Painted Veil. I had a PR5 rating and I deleted it.

Everyone told me not to delete it but I didn't listen to them. What I didn't expect was that someone would grab my domain name and use it for a garbage site. That's what happened to it.

Google still shows my nick name Shinade and the address to the blog under my name, Jackie Hooper. However, if you type in that URL it goes to a site that is inappropriate in my eyes.

I tried to fight it but can't do a thing. So, lesson learned. I will never delete another one.

I started my new blog last October. It is really new. Thank you so very much for following me.

I hope you have a wonderful and blessed day! My hubby, a long haul truck driver, is right around the corner. I am excited.

He starts his vacation today and also is scheduled to see a DR. for surgery. So he may be home for a couple of months. That's rare!

Okay I'm off and please tell your son Happy Birthday for me! Oh Pam is a DR. in Liberal Arts. She teaches 2oth century British Literature at Texas A&M in Kingsville.

I didn't want you to be misguided! Bye and hugs!
