The odds of
going to the store for a loaf of bread
and coming out with only a loaf of bread
are three billion to one. ~Erma Bombeck
As you all know, I never post recipes. There are ones out there who do it very well, and I leave it to them. BUT I just found an awesome one! I made it last week and it is delicious, and better than that, it takes about FIVE MINUTES!!! It is all over the web, and rightly so. So without further ado, I present to you:
7-Up Biscuits
2 cups Bisquick
One half cup sour cream
One half cup 7-Up
One fourth cup melted butter
Mix the sour cream into the Bisquick with a fork, then stir in the 7-Up. It will make a really soft sticky dough. Pat it out on a floured counter or large plate and divide into biscuits. Pour the butter into a 9' square pan and arrange the biscuits on top of it. Bake at 450 for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden. Yum! This picture is from the web, we ate all ours before I got to snap one!
Jesus said, “I am the Bread of Life. The person who aligns
with me hungers no more and thirsts no more, ever.

A fourth of a cup of butter will make anything good. I gotta try this now.
wow, looks amazing as does your header!
i would love them since i am a bread addict... i have an easier and quicker biscuit that is to die for. called Make do biscuits, i got from a bloggers post on her grandmothers mae do foods.
1 cup self rising flour
1/2 cup whipping cream
stir, knead, roll and cut out and bake for 10 minutes. flaky and fluffy and delish. i don't roll mine, i just make a ball and flatten it. that way i don't have to wash the rollig pin
I make biscuits all the time and have tried a lot of recipes, but I've never heard of this one!
MMMMMMM looks good, a definite bread to make. Love the cardinal in the last post. Glad you guys are safe. We are melting here and I hope to see some daffadils sometime soon.

This is something we're going to have to try. Thanks for the heads up. The biscuit in the photo looks yummy.
I think if I had a pan of these sitting in front of me, I would have to keep reminding myself "Man does not live on bread alone ....." :)
I love a good biscuit, fresh out of the oven and covered in butter. These look very good
