A moonbeam to
charm you, a sheltering angel, so nothing can harm you. ~Irish Blessing
Have you ever seen a moonbeam? Well, I never have until I took these pictures of this month's full moon. See the moonbeam in the first picture? These are the stages of the moon as it rose, clouds and all. This month's moon name is the Full Worm Moon, because the ground is beginning to thaw and the worms are coming out. Hey, don't look at ME, I didn't give the beautiful moon this iccky name!!
“Do you feel like a lowly worm, Jacob? Don’t be afraid… I’ll
help you. I, God, want to reassure you. The God who buys you back, The Holy of
Israel. I’m transforming you from worm
to harrow, from insect to iron.”
Isaiah 41

I am amazed at your capture of the moonbeams as the moon come up from behind the mountain. It is kind of an icky name but the moon is beautiful. We had a thunder storm moving through tonight so the moon was hidden here.
Beauty can lie beneath a "yucky" name!...:)JP
Beautiful moonbeam! And I say bring on the worms, I'm ready for warmness:)
I don't recall ever seeing a moonbeam either. I'm so glad you were able to capture one and share it here with us!
Happy Easter,
Jeanne
no photos but we saw moonbeams this morning. the moon was so bright at 4 am that i thought we had left the back yard flood lights on. i came in here to turn on the heat since it went to freezing temps of 42 last night and the blinds at the sliding glass door looke like the back yard was lit up like a flood light. we stared at it all the way to the Y
I have never seen a moonbeam but I want to!!! What amazing and beautiful images.
Hey Ginny! Beautiful! Absolutely beautiful! And I'm ready for the worms too - cause that means it's time to go fishing. ☺
You do an awesome job on associating your blog sidebars with your moon shots. Very nicely done.
I can't believe that I missed the full moon this month. Oh well, my head will let me know next month - migraine time.
You take the BEST moon pictures. Love them!
I don't think I have seen a moon beam before. Awesome. And since God likes worms I guess they are good things. sandie
Beautiful moom photos! All the different colors from one moom just amaze me. I don't think I've seen moonbeam until I saw your photo. It's gorgeous!
I think whoever came up with the name "full worm moon" could do better!
Ginny, these photos are stunning! Your post, both photos and text, are very inspiring. Thank you, and Happy Easter to you.
Your moon pictures are amazing as always!
Hi Ginny, the post I will be making tonight is thanks to your comment on my blog post of yesterday, about people having too many "things". Thanks so much for the inspiration, I really appreciate it.
I never have seen a moon beam but it reminded me of that song I learned when I was a kid. Would you like to swing on a star. Carry moon beams home in a jar :)
Worm moon is a rather icky name
Once again you have taken lovely pictures of the moon.
I saw the moon last night...wondered who in blogland was photographing it...
The moon may have an iccky name, but your pictures are beautiful. I really like that first photo.
Love the moon beam...I appreciate the way you capture these moments then share them with us...not every one can get out to see such awe. Have a blessed Easter. ♥
