Winter is not a
season, it's an occupation. ~Sinclair Lewis
Yesterday we drove around and looked at the damage the snow caused. The snow came overnight. Thick, wet, heavy. By morning we had a foot and a half. During the night I prayed that we would be protected and safe during the blizzard. And as you can see, the last two pictures clearly show the sign of the cross. My prayer was answered. Signed, sealed, and delivered.
“He spreads snow like a white
fleece, he scatters frost like ashes, He broadcasts hail like birdseed— who can
survive his winter? Then he
gives the command and it all melts; he breathes on winter—suddenly it’s spring!”
Psalm 147

It looks like the trees took a real beating with all that wet snow. I'm glad your prayer was answered and no one was hurt.
Definately thankful you were alright. Been a crazy weather year this year everywhere.
oh gosh.. this reminds me.. the other day I passed by a school.. two big trees also were uprooted by lighting.. something like yours.. poor trees!
That is some damage. I love the shot of the cardinal in the mix.
that is amazing!
so glad you are safe with no damage. these are awful to look at. there has been so much serious damage weather related this year and most of it aimed at the North East.
Wow....those mighty trees fallen. How sad, tho it's good to know that there wasn't any home damages. And I see the 'bright side' of it all.......that beautiful cardinal showing off nature's beauty too.
Wow! A foot and a half! That's amazing for a late season storm - so glad to hear all is well with you! The pictures definitely tell the story!
These late spring wet snows can do enormous damage. I'm so glad you and Phil escaped winter's wrath. Have a great day. Blessings...Mary
Wow all those poor trees and the damage they caused! I like the cross.
Oh, that looks bad... Glad you and your house escaped serious damage though.
Yes, winter can be furious --but so can any season. (Look at the damage one can have when a tornado or hurricane hits! Yipes.)
Glad you two were okay---but I know it's sad to see the downed trees. How did the ones do in your yard?
Hugs,
Betsy
Yes, winter storms can really cause damage. I'm glad you came through it unscathed! Your area looks like ours during the last snow storm we had in late Feb.
wow, that storm did a lot of damage. Glad to hear you are safe and sound
Glad to hear that God spared you from harm. Snow can do a lot of damage.
Good that you don't have real damage or that your family was not injured.
Greetings,
Filip
I am happy that you are safe, Ginny.
Awesome.....gave me chills! Our God is an awesome God...
hugs
Glad you are fine and the damage was limited to the trees! That cardinal in the middle of the damage photo and the crosses is a sign of hope!
I see the cross in the trees as you do...a sign that your prayers were heard.
