Through The Wires Thursday

In the central place of every heart there is a recording chamber.  So long as it receives a message of beauty, hope, cheer, and courage - so long are you young.  When the wires are all down and our heart is covered with the snow of pessimism and the ice of cynicism, then, and only then, are you grown old.  ~Douglas MacArthur

It was about a year ago that I took these on a quiet country road as the sun went down by the power lines. You can see the row of them going all the way back into the distance. Sometimes wires aren't such a bad thing for cameras.

“As high as heaven is over the earth, so strong is his love to those who fear him. And as far as sunrise is from sunset, he has separated us from our sins.”
Psalm 103

Hi Ginny, lovely photos. Thank you so much for your beautiful posts, they are so encouraging and inspirational. In response to your comment on my blog...I also love fountains! I love the smell, the sound and the calming effect they tend to have on me.

Sometimes it 's impossible to avoid power lines where i live. You have a nice view point here that i never would have thought about photographing but you made it work nicely. Good job!

Wires and those huge posts make for some very interesting patterns in the sky.

You get such beautiful sunsets and the quote works perfectly.

Your sunset photos are gorgeous Ginny. The big transmission lines are much more impressive than the power lines hanging over my backyard. They are actually interesting to look at.

Beautiful! When I was a little child, those "poles" scared me. I was afraid they would start "walking" and grab me!!

Best,

I love when you do these pics. THey look so artsy.

Guineas apparently are easier than chickens. Their eggs are supposedly edible too.
