My Little Peacock

A grandmother pretends she doesn't know who you are on Halloween.  ~Erma Bombeck

I'm late, I'm late for
A very important date.
No time to say hello, good-bye,
I'm late, I'm late, I'm late

I can't believe it, but I had so much going on last fall that I did not get around to posting Anne Marie's Halloween costume!  And now nearly a year has past and it is almost Halloween again! So these are now one year old. Her mom made the whole peacock costume, what do you think, compared to the real thing? Not quite the same, but both beautiful!

“Then they climbed the mountain—Moses and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel—and saw the God of Israel. He was standing on a pavement of something like sapphires—pure, clear sky-blue…”
Exodus 24

Lovely, Ginny! This needs lots of handicraft work on her peacock piece.. I would be at my wits end if my girl were to dress like one.. :)

At first I thought that maybe they were doing trick or treat extremely early in your town. Love the costume. It puts the ones I used to make for my kids to shame...lol Her mom did an amazing job right down to the make up and Anne Marie looks adorable

I've never had a "peacock" come to my door on Halloween. What a beauty. And what a clever mother to put together the outfit.

Best,
Bonnie

Wow, what a doll! She doesn't need anything to be beautiful but that outfit is just stunning. She has one talented mom too!

Ann Marie's mom did a fantastic job on the costume. Real peacock are very pretty but they don't hold a candle to Anne Marie in all her feathers.

Better late than never, I think the costume is a very good likeness of a peacock. Great job. Is it going to be her costume this year?
