Puzzled

Everyone is here because he or she has a place to fill and every piece must fit itself into the big jigsaw puzzle. Deepak Chopra

We were looking through a Farmer's Market a few days ago, and we came across this wall. These four really big pictures were hanging there. They are New York, Singapore, San Fransisco, and Sydney. And here is the most amazing part; they are jigsaw puzzles! You can see how big they are by Phil standing in front of them. Each one has over 18,000 pieces! The average time to complete one is a little over a year. This would drive me crazy!!! Which one is your favorite?

We are taking a short trip out of town tonight, and there are no computers where we are going. So I will not be blogging for the next day or two. WHAT is this mysterious place we are going to? That will be my next post, and I think this is one that you will NEVER guess!!

“The heart is hopelessly dark and deceitful, a puzzle that no one can figure out. But I, God, search the heart and examine the mind. I get to the heart of the human. I get to the root of things. I treat them as they really are, not as they pretend to be.”

These jigsaw puzzles are amazing! I suspect it would take me well over a year to do each one.

I think I like the Sydney one best. I KNOW that I would never have enough patience to do a puzzle that large.

I do think I like San Francisco the best, it's just charming to me. Have fun on your little adventure, no computers? The moon? :)

Wooow they are really gorgeous, and huge! Takes over a year to complete that jigsaw puzzle....sure will drive me crazy, too! But I love them all, especially San Francisco looks great.
I'm very curious about where you are going! Have a fun trip, and I look forward to your next post!

Those are all amazing. I like Sydney the best. I would never get one like that completed, mostly because my cats would steal some of the pieces. LOL!

I hope you are going to a place that is fun, can't wait to hear about it.

Jigsaw puzzles are a lot of fun. I used to work at a jigsaw puzzles store and many of my customers got their completed jigsaw puzzles laminated...or framed.

I've framed puzzles myself. I have two hanging on our wall....but, heaven's to betsy, not THAT big.

I think I like the San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge best of all.

Wherever you two are going, I hope it's for fun!!!

Not sure which is my favorite...when I do puzzles I tend to like to have more of nature in them. But these are beautiful.

I truly admire people who have the dedication to complete puzzles like this, have a great time away, oh and I would have a hard time choosing, they are quite beautiful!

I remember all those year of putting puzzles together with my kids. Too bad we didn't save some of them and hang them on the wall.

Interesting statement from Deepak.

I like the Sydney one in your header. I've never been a fan of giant puzzles though. Too much else I could be doing with my time...

I used to like to work on jigsaw puzzles with my mother and her sisters. Through the years my aunts were no longer able to work on the puzzles. They passed away about a decade before my mom.

Eyesight issues ruled out that activity for both my mom and me in the final year of her life. But browsing through the puzzle section where there are all those boxes of potential with the gorgeous finished picture on front still gives me pleasure and memories of people I loved.
