The Answer!

Almost all of you guessed that the field is pumpkins!! Many guessed squash, and a pumpkin is a type of squash. These are just baby pumpkins, but they will grow fast! They were lots of fun to photograph. Thanks for guessing!

“They sowed the fields, they planted vineyards, they reaped a bountiful harvest.”

I got that one wrong. I tried growing pumpkins a couple of times and they were green - thought they would never turn orange.

I haven't seen any orange pumpkins here yet, just green ones that will turn orange in a few weeks.

Are these sugar pumpkins for pies or regular pumpkins for jack-o-lanterns? My DIL grows pumpkins every year for the kids down the street so they will have their jack o lanterns. That is so sweet...

Loved the pumpkins. Upon seeing the blossoms, I would have guessed squash, too.

Beautiful pumpkins! We harvested ours last night. We grew huge ones, though. As soon as our grandkids pick out their pumpkin, we wil put the rest out on the street with a sige "FREE" and watch them fly away. We do it every year. Hopefully some are scavenged by kids whose parents can't by them one.

The tiny pumpkins are so cute. I really like the effects you used in some of the photos especially the black & white with a little color.
