Big Wheels

In the city of Harrisonburg, Va., there is a huge old fashioned Farmer's Market. They have a kitchen store, candy shop, toy store, quilt shop, old furniture, and almost anything you might want.  The last time we went, we brought Anne Marie with us for a shopping trip. She exclaimed that the place was cool! When you enter, you are greeted by this horse and cart. Anne loved it!

Then we wandered over to the candy store, where there is a giant wheel over a pool of water. The wheel goes around and around, almost like a mill wheel.

Then if you look way up high, there is an old Amish buggy on an overhang near the ceiling.

At the end of a great day shopping, we were all tired but happy. On my next post, I will show you some of the shops inside!

“As I watched the four creatures, I saw something that looked like a wheel on the ground beside each of the four-faced creatures. This is what the wheels looked like: They were identical wheels, sparkling like diamonds in the sun. It looked like they were wheels within wheels, like a gyroscope.”

What a great place, Ginny. That is definitely different from most Farmer's Markets... Love the horse and cart --and the giant wheel. NEAT..

Anne is really growing up.. It doesn't seem like that long ago when she was a baby.

Hugs,
Betsy

What fun Ginny, a great place for children and for adults. I would enjoy it here. Great photos of Anne in these colorful surroundings. I also loved your header photo. Thanks for stopping by my fairy post. It isn't my yard art but a new addition in the fairy garden at one of our favorite walkabout gardens.

That looks such a nice Farmer's Market. Love the big yellow wheels! And the wheel over pool looks very lovely, too. There must be lots of great shops in there, too. Looking forward to your next post!

Oh what a sweet, sweet, looking girl! I love the photo where you have her posing in front of the horse and cart.

In fact, I would really enjoy going there myself.

Ginny, you mentioned in the comment you left for me..."In fact, I wish you would have posted each one separately." I'm not sure what you meant, but if you are thinking having them enlarged to see a better view...just click on ONE photo on my blog [always] and you'll have the lightbox feature and the photos are enlarged to a bigger size. I hope that is what you meant. If so, come on back and click away....

Looking forward to the "inside story" on the shops. And the Ezekiel verse reminds me that I had planned to order a commentary on Ezekiel when we returned from a trip. We have been home 7 days. Time to get busy on that book purchase!
