So Late So Soon

How did it get so late so soon?
It's night before it's afternoon.
December is here before it's June.
My goodness how the time has flewn!
How did it get so late so soon?

Dr. Seuss

I always like to quote this little poem on the first day of fall, which was today! And the time really HAS flewn this year! I will miss the light and the flowers and the warmth. What will you miss?

“Be glad, people of Zion, rejoice in the Lord your God, for he has given you the autumn rains because he is faithful. He sends you abundant showers, both autumn and spring rains, as before.”
Joel 2

Beautiful pictures.

What do you use castor beans for or am I mistaken in the identity of the plant?

Gorgeous fall colors. The flowers in that first picture are so pretty.
I think being warm is what I'll miss the most.

Wow...wow...wow. What a wonderful world. Makes me think of the song "I see trees of green, red roses too...." by Satchmo.

Yes, you've created a wonderful world for us today.

You must post fall scenes for me next month since I won't be coming. My sisters and I got together in the spring and we all have busy Octobers at home.

Best,
Bonnie

I'm not sure why time seems to pass so quickly. I guess we need to relax and enjoy each moment as it comes. :)

I don't remember ever reading those Dr. Seuss lines and I thought I had read them all...but probably haven't. Sarah loved him.

I miss reading Dr. Seuss books to my children and grandchildren. Maybe a visit to the children's section at our local library will give me a fix!
