Spring Has SPRUNG!

Look what we came across yesterday! Sweet little crocus saying hello. And this is ALL I found. Everything else is totally dead. But it won't be long now...

“Wilderness and desert will sing joyously, the badlands will celebrate and flower— Like the crocus in spring, bursting into blossom, a symphony of song and color.”

I love seeing the crocuses in my yard after a long hard winter. But I fear it will be a while yet.

Wow, how pretty! It almost looks like the purple crocus are glowing! The yellow ones are very pretty, too. Spring has definitely sprung :-)

How I love seeing spring flowers. Ans to your questions:
We are from Tennessee moved to Texas in 1983-1995. Moved back to Tennessee in 1995-2005. Retired and moved to Arkansas 2005 to a retirement village 2005 to 2008. didn't like it so we bought a small house in the town we now live in. We are in our late 70's and will more then likely move again. That photo on the blog was take 2 years ago.

For got to ans about the cats:
WE would never find a cat like Blackie again. We loved him so much and it hurt to lose him just as bad as when we lost our son.

I thought you were still covered in snow over there! :) These first explosions of colour are really special, aren't they. It's like our eyes have been longing for them all winter.

Hello, Just got home from a nice trip to Arkansas to celebrate George's birthday. I will blog about it tomorrow.

Now--it's time to start working in the yard, cleaning up all of the 'junk' from the ice storm. What a mess!!!

Love your photos... Crocuses are SO pretty.. We actually have some in bloom here in our yard... YEAH!!! No Daffodils here yet.

Hope you are doing well.
Hugs,
Betsy

Spring is my favorite season. I just love crocuses. Mine are not in bloom yet, but are shooting out of the ground a bit at least.
